Research Topics
I am an anthropological biologist with a background in ecology. I am interested in how socio-ecological factors drive population dynamics and human biological diversity. Most of my research focused on present-day populations from different geographical and cultural environments (Mediterranean area, Siberia, France). I used to manage research at the meso- or micro-geographical level to allow cross-discplinary approaches and consider interactions between Biology-Culture and Environments.

Current research
I am part of the Observatory Man-Environment Pyrenees Haut Vicdessos (Labex DRIIHM). I led a program on Microevolution of the Pyrenean populations with a special focus in central Pyrenees. DNA but also historical censuses are used to infer population dynamics at broad and small time-space scales. Our aim is to develop an interdisciplinary approach to understand the impact of socio-ecological factors on human population dynamics.
